Revamping The Ceilings

If you’re considering giving your office a revamp, then changing the boring white ceiling should be in the equation.

What’s the typical ceiling, you may ask. It’s usually a sequence of grids perched overhead, dropped down from the original ceiling. The grids let panels be dropped in to complete the ceiling. Panels have the ability to diminish noise and they are normally white to reflect light. So, yes, we can say that they aren’t monotonous for no reason. But it’s about time we bring life to the ceiling.

Majority of dark wood colors such as mahogany or cherry are tad too dark to be used in the office, but lighter shades of maple would be just fine. Such wood-look patterns and colors are featured on panels that have a raised border all around with another square in the center, it’s like a square on a square. Panels are also available in shiny mirror finishes of gold and silver. The same shades are also in flat surface panels.

Drop-in panels that resemble sculptured plaster even look better. Imagine those flamboyant towering ceilings in classic old houses, with patterns of rosettes and swirls. These panels are lightweight, insulated and white, but not the boring white.

Tin drop-in panels would definitely give oomph to a room, with designs of leaves, diamonds, and swirl. Deep bronze or copper are the usual option, but you can always opt for other shiny metallic colors like silver.

The 12 X 12 panels have sixteen, four, or only one printed impression per tile. There is an array of panels available in the market. They can also be painted and there are strips that you can buy to somehow wrap the exposed grids in the suspended ceiling. Because of the very light weight of these panels, you should have a weighted layer to hold them in place.  Old panels can be overlapped onto the new panels to improve sound-reducing and insulation properties.

Offices are there for business, but refurbishing your ceiling is just the right kind of mixing business with pleasure.

Color Ideas For The Office

Work goes hand in hand with stress, and it magnifies when you’re in a stress-inducing environment which only sucks the left energy out of you. Blame this on the aesthetic qualities of most workplaces, or their lack, thereof. Oftentimes, the importance of good-looking surroundings is taken for granted. Stunning and gorgeous spaces can be very inspiring and virtually evoke good vibes, and these are vital in order for us to perform better and be more productive.

It is normally simple and very achievable to revamp and improve an office space but it’s a good plan to ask a professional interior designer beforehand. In choosing color, it is critical to be aware of the things that will be happening in each office since white walls all over are now almost obsolete. Correct use of color may boost lighting. Thus, it will create an illusion of bigger or smaller space. Color is always amusing and thrilling and every color evokes different kinds of emotion so taking time to consider your color scheme options really matter.

When movement is occurring in a space, such as the reception area, brighter colors are the perfect colors. On the other hand, paler colors are ideal in creating space and light within a room.

If you are looking for colors with high concentration, keep in mind that blue and green are found to give a sense of peace and calmness. Yellow and red are known to be thought-provoking and suggest power and bravery as well as imagination and action, making them the perfect preference for meeting rooms. Black and white combination is often perceived as the colors of power and supremacy.

However, when picking extreme or loud colors such as neon, you should be very vigilant since they can be overwhelming. Moderation is key.

Another thing to consider when choosing color is the lighting that they will ultimately be in. The more natural light there is in the room, the more luminous the colors become. Artificial lighting also has an effect on the color. Incandescent light bulbs emit a warm glow while fluorescent light bulbs create a cool glow.

Textures can also alter the color. A color painted on a grainy wood will come out different when painted on a smooth surface.

All of these are the reasons why meticulous trying and testing is crucial.

Taking The Office Ceiling A Notch Higher

If you want to revamp your office, then changing the boring white ceiling should be taken into consideration

What’s the typical ceiling, you’re wondering. It’s usually a sequence of grids perched overhead, dropped down from the original ceiling. The grids allow panels be dropped in so as to complete the ceiling. Panels can reduce noise and they are normally white in order to reflect light. Therefore, they are monotonous for a reason, but it’s time we brought life to the ceiling.

Most dark wood colors like mahogany or cherry are tad too dark for office use, but lighter shades of maple would do. Such wood-look patterns and colors are featured on panels that have a raised border all around with another square in the center. Simply put, they are much like a square on a square. Panels also come in shiny mirror finishes of gold and silver. The same shades are also in flat surface panels.

Drop-in panels that look like sculptured plaster are even more stunning. Imagine those flamboyant towering ceilings in classic old houses, that have beautiful patterns of rosettes and swirls. Such panels are typically lightweight, insulated and white, but not your usual boring white.

Tin drop-in panels would surely beautify a room, with designs of leaves, diamonds, and swirl. Deep bronze or copper are the go-to color of many, but you may go for other shiny metallic colors like silver.

The 12 X 12 panels have sixteen, four, or only one printed impression per tile. You can paint them, and you can buy strips to somehow wrap the exposed grids in the suspended ceiling. Revamping Your Boring Office Space

If you want to revamp your home office, a little imagination can go a long way. At the moment, your office may probably be tad boring. There’s actually an unspoken rule that offices should look masculine for them to look professional. It’s an old rule, so to speak. However, you should not play around with colors that much and end up having an office with colors so bright. The place will look amazing if you combine calm, neutral nuances, with several bright accents.

And, considering this will be a working place, you must never go over-the-top it when using distracting elements. You may choose an accent wall, and paint it in abstract colors, like deep blue or fresh green. By doing so, the room will have enough color and you will also avoid having a certain color that makes the space seem either overwhelming or too small.

If there’s one thing we have learned over the years, it would be the fact that furniture have a massive impact. Shelves are helpful in keeping the needed materials close. Suffice it to say, shelves are a must. Then, other important piece in an office is the chair. Selecting the right office chair could be tricky, it should blend well with the room, and blend perfectly with the design. Of course, you can never deny the fact that it has to be comfortable! You will be seated in it for a long time, and you wouldn’t want to have serious back pains.

A great office interior design should make you love every minute spent at work. Whether it be you're decorating your own home office or a corporate office, there is no reason as to why the final result shouldn't be a reminiscent of your home. Typically, designers love decorating corporate offices, because it allows them make life more beautiful to some people, and to provide them with a wonderful place to work, where they can work efficiently yet happily.

what colors to match with burgandy office furniture?

Question by Costa Mesa Mayor: what colors to match with burgandy office furniture?
We are going to paint our office. We are having a hard time picking good colors.

Best answer:

Answer by Samm
Cream, forest green, if for a women, pale pink.

In my husbands office the carpeting was varigated, so we used not pink but pale salmon and darker salmon below the chair rail.

So you could consider 2 shades of the same color.

Good Luck, it is a challenge.

Do it in a sand color that will keep it neutral and then you can use any other colors to accent the office the way you want to.
